The main feature of the table resides in its construction, which allows the top to reach the minimum thickness of 6 mm. The material is pushed to the limit by exploiting the qualities and properties of aluminium, challenging the structural needs related to its use.The rigidity of the top is assured by the stainless steel cable, which is put in tension thanks to an unscrewing mechanism that enables the central stainless steel bar to expand. The weights contained in the two cylinders provide the overall stability, counterbalancing the strength of the pulling forces. The extreme purity of the composition confers a monolithic presence to the piece, in contrast with the sanded aluminium finish and darkened stainless steel details.
