Within the works of Linde Freya Tangelder exist an overarching inspiration found in architectural elements, materials or building techniques. Linde Freya exalts hand-signed craftsmanship and industrial techniques by combining different materials, sometimes precious, sometimes raw. For the ‘Reworked Bench’, a brushed aluminum frame, handlacquered cotton cushions and white bronze foot are coinciding in its raw but delicate gesture – within the layers of sanding, painting, lacquering, modern and ancient details and technique merge in a modern translation of architectural fragments.
